Welcome to Laos, a beautiful country in Southeast Asia known for its stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality. This tour will take you to some of the most breathtaking places in Laos, including Luang Prabang, Kuangsi Waterfall, Pak Ou Cave, and Nong Khiaw.
Our journey begins in Luang Prabang, a charming city that was once the capital of Laos. Luang Prabang is known for its well-preserved traditional architecture, peaceful temples, and vibrant night market. We will spend a day exploring the city, visiting temples such as Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Visoun, and Wat Mai. We will also climb up to Mount Phousi to enjoy the stunning views of the city and the Mekong River.
Next, we will visit the Kuangsi Waterfall, which is located about 30 kilometers south of Luang Prabang. The waterfall is a three-tiered cascade that falls into turquoise blue pools, making it a popular spot for swimming and picnicking. We will spend some time hiking around the waterfall, taking a refreshing dip in the pools, and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
After our visit to Kuangsi Waterfall, we will head to Pak Ou Cave, which is located about 25 kilometers north of Luang Prabang. Pak Ou Cave is a sacred site that is filled with thousands of Buddha statues of all shapes and sizes. The cave is situated on the banks of the Mekong River and can only be reached by boat, making the journey there even more special.
Our final destination is Nong Khiaw, a small town located in the northern part of Laos. Nong Khiaw is known for its stunning limestone cliffs, beautiful river scenery, and laid-back atmosphere. We will spend a day exploring the town, hiking up to the viewpoint on Phadeng Peak to enjoy the panoramic views, and taking a boat ride along the Nam Ou River to explore the nearby villages.

For early risers, there is a very special dawn visit to watch the monks collecting the alms. As the sun begins to rise, long lines of orange-robed monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot down the streets collecting offerings from Luang Prabang residents. It is a beautiful, serene ceremony that highlights the spiritualism of the Laos people. Visit Morning Market where you can find all ingredients for local food. Return to your hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, we visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Continue our city tour with the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai.
In the afternoon, we visit the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple, we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, you will drive through the Luang Prabang countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls. Along the way by the Mekong River you will see gorgeous landscapes of many rice fields, hills and villages. You will visit an ethnic minority at a village where their local culture has remained unchanged for centuries. Upon reaching Kuang Si Waterfalls, relax and enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings. Afterwards we return to the Luang Prabang and be free at leisure.

After breakfast, we travel for 32km by car to Pak Ou cave and along the way stop to visit the whisky village and discover how the villagers make Lau Lao (potent rice whisky) then continue to the cave where a thousand Buddha figures are kept. After the visits, we leave from Pak Ou to Nong Kiaw. This route will take three hours by car with the beautiful mountain view. Upon arrival to Nong Kiaw, check in your resort and be free at leisure.
In the morning, take a boat trip along Nam Ou River, the homeland of river weed that you might eat in your breakfast. You will see how local people collect river weed along the river. Water of the river has beautifully green color. Also here and there, hundreds of water buffalos and pigs relaxing on cool sand of river banks. Disembark Muong Ngoi village, take a short walk around the village and visit Tham Kang and Tham Pha Kaew. Return to Nong Kiaw at noon time and be free at leisure. Overnight in Nong Kiaw.
Be free at leisure in Nong Kiaw until check out time. Meet our driver again and travel back to Luang Prabang in a good time to connect to your departure flight.
