The Cross-Border from Laos to Cambodia tour is a 10-day, 9-night journey that takes you through some of the most beautiful and historic sites of Southeast Asia. The tour begins in Luang Prabang, a city recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Next, the trip moves south to Pakse, where visitors will experience the natural beauty of the Bolaven Plateau and the Mekong River. One of the highlights of the trip was going to Khong Island, located in the heart of the Mekong Delta. It is a peaceful island where visitors can relax, admire the beautiful scenery or explore traditional villages and temples. The tour ends in Siem Reap, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the incredible temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most significant archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. While the journey, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the local culture, meet friendly locals, and sample the delicious cuisine of Laos and Cambodia. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. Landing in Luang Prabang, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
For early risers, there is a very special dawn visit to watch the monks collecting the alms. As the sun begins to rise, long lines of orange-robed monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot down the streets collecting offerings from Luang Prabang residents. It is a beautiful, serene ceremony that highlights the spiritualism of the Laos people. Visit Morning Market where you can find all ingredients for local food. Return to your hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, we visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Continue our city tour with the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai.
In the afternoon, we visit the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple, we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, you will drive through the Luang Prabang countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls. Along the way by the Mekong River you will see gorgeous landscapes of many rice fields, hills and villages. You will visit an ethnic minority at a village where their local culture has remained unchanged for centuries. Upon reaching Kuang Si Waterfalls, relax and enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings. Afterwards we return to the Luang Prabang and be free at leisure.

After early breakfast, you will drive the airport for a flight to Pakse, the capital and the most populous city in the southern part of Laos. Upon arrival, you’re greeted by our guide and check in your hotel. Overnight in Pakse.
After breakfast, we drive on the National Road No. 13th south to Champassak and visit the ruins of Wat Phu, which is well known as the most important Hindu sanctuary of the Khmer Empire between 9th -13th centuries. Here is also a chance to visit some nearby Khmer temples and Buddhist shrines, after a shortstop visit, we continue to Khong Island, the biggest island in south Laos and the start of the 4000 Islands Region. Overnight in Don Khong Island.
Today, we enjoy a cruise venturing into the widest reach of the Mekong River from where thousands of islets jut out in dry season, giving this area a lovely name “Siphandon”. A long the way, we stop at the Liphi Waterfalls and the fisherman village of Ban Khone. On return we take a short drive to the sight of Khone Phapheng, which both South East Asia ‘s biggest waterfalls. Overnight in Khong Island.
After breakfast, you will be transferred by boat and road to Voeung Kam/Dom Kralor for border-crossing to Cambodia. You will get Cambodian visa at the border gate and cross to Cambodia side, where our guide will greet you and drive to Siem Reap along National Highway 64 (6hrs). Arrive in Siem Reap late afternoon, check in your hotel and overnight.
After breakfast, you start to explore Angkor complex with:
Banteay Srei: nearly everyone’s favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compactsize, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of its decorative carving
Banteay Samre: Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, whichare among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer.
We continue to visit the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Ta Prohm was built in the 12th century. It’s a Buddhist temple dedicated to the mother of King Jayavarman VII. Pre Rup temple was built in the 10th century during the reign of King Rajendravarman II. Overnight in Siem Reap.
We start a very special and busy day as you will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist. The ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See the South Gate, Bayon Temple – unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara Baphuon Temple: lying just to the north of Bayon, a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru, The Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, The Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
After lunch time, visit the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, you will be free until transfer to the airport for departure flight.
